Hoagy Lands, born Victor I. Hoagland Sr. on May 4, 1936, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, was an American soul singer who passed away on January 12, 2002. He was the son of an Afro-Cuban father and an African American mother of American Indian descent. During his youth, Lands formed a group called TNB (The New Brunswick) Dynaflows while attending Roosevelt Junior High School in Elizabeth, New Jersey. His recording career began in the late 1950s and continued into the mid-1970s, during which he recorded several duets. He is also the grandfather of a recording artist.
