James Hodges was a member of the Hodges Brothers, an American bluegrass quartet from Bogue Chitto, Mississippi. The group, consisting of Ralph Hodges (guitar, vocals), Felix Hodges (violin), James Hodges (rhythm guitar), and John White (bass, vocals), released singles on Trumpet and Whispering Pines labels. In 1956, they ventured into rockabilly with their track "I'm Gonna Rock Some Too." Their only album, "Watermelon Hangin' On The Vine," was released in 1962.
