Holly Brook Hafermann, born February 23, 1986, is an American multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter. At the age of six, she performed with her mother, and the duo released three albums. By the age of fifteen, Holly began writing and performing her own music. In 2004, she was signed to a label and featured on a song titled "Where'd you go." She released her first solo album in 2006. In 2010, she changed her artist name to Skylar Grey and has since stated that "Holly Brook is dead" when asked about her past career.
