Homer Banks was a singer, songwriter, and producer born on August 2, 1941, in Memphis, Tennessee. He passed away on April 3, 2003, in Memphis. Banks recorded a few singles in the early 1960s before joining a record label as a songwriter, collaborating with various artists. In 1968, he formed the We Three songwriting team with two partners, achieving notable success with their hit "Who's Making Love," recorded by an unnamed artist. He had a twin brother who was also a songwriter. Banks worked at the label until its bankruptcy in 1976, during which he co-wrote songs like "If Loving You Is Wrong (I Don't Want To Be Right)." After the collapse of Stax Records, he remained active as a songwriter and producer, recording one album in 1977 with his songwriting and producing partner.
