Hooded Menace is a Finnish death metal band formed in 2007 by Lasse, who is also known for his work in the cult Finnish death metal band Phlegethon and the death/grind group Vacant Coffin. The band draws heavy influence from the first Cathedral album, Winter, and Asphyx, aiming to create doom-laden death metal that combines crushing, somber riffs with a hint of melody inspired by early 80's Candlemass. Lyrically, Hooded Menace takes inspiration from the classic 70's Spanish horror series the Blind Dead, which includes films like "Tombs of the Blind Dead," "Return of the Evil Dead," "Horror of the Zombies," and "Night of the Seagulls." The imagery of rotting, eyeless Templar knights who drank the blood of their victims resonates within their music, reflected in the slow, heavy pacing of their riffs. The band recorded a two-song promo demo titled "The Eyeless Horde," which they promoted in the underground scene. This led to a Czech label, Doomentia Records, releasing the demo on a 7" EP. In 2008, Razorback Records released their debut album "Fulfill The Curse" on CD, followed by a vinyl version from Doomentia Records later that year. In 2009, Hooded Menace signed with Profound Lore Records, which released their second album "Never Cross The Dead" in 201
