Hopscotch, the alias of Tungsten (one half of the duo Tungsten & Morph), was known for his uplifting Happy Hardcore tracks. He initially sent demos to DJ Dougal's Essential Platinum label, which led to feedback and discussions about a release. Subsequently, Tungsten collaborated with Micky Skeedale and Dougal at their Northampton studio. His first release in 1995 on Essential Platinum ignited the scene, and Hopscotch performed live P.As at raves such as Fusion, Evolution, and Club Kinetic. His tracks featured on various rave compilation LPs, including 'Dance Paradise', 'United Dance', and the inaugural 'Bonkers' series mixed by Dougal, Hixxy, and Sharkey. Shortly after, his second release came out on Dougal's imprint, receiving an enthusiastic response, with Seduction, Vibes, and Vinyl Junkie all requesting Hopscotch tracks for their DJ sets.
