Horkeskart, a unique ensemble formed at the end of fall 2000, originated from the band 'Škart'. The group was invited to present its self-published action "YOUR SHIT-YOUR RESPONSIBILITY" at the Center for Cultural Decontamination, leading to the formation of a choir to perform the song "Svete krave" (Holy cows) by Arsen Dedić. An announcement by B92 radio invited listeners to audition, but all participants were accepted without music testing. Since then, Horkeskart has continued to practice and perform. In January 2007, at the request of its founders from the 'Škart' group, the collective of the choir and orchestra adopted the new name 'Horkestar'. The conductor is Marija Balubdžić, and the orchestra leader is Vladimir Živković.
