**Hot Soul Singers Bio** The Hot Soul Singers are a South African music group that originated in 1975 under the name Tembisa Happy Queens, managed by Sam 'Jiza Jiza' Mthembu. They changed their name in 1979 and gained popularity with albums such as "Jiza Jiza Wami" and "Together." The group initially consisted of Lindiwe Ndlovu and sisters Ntombifuthi and Nombuso Mabaso. By 1980, they had garnered significant acclaim and served as the supporting act for prominent American musicians, including Clarence Carter, Two Tons of Fun, and Gene Chandler, at the Colosseum Theatre. They also toured with The O'Jays during their shows at Orlando Stadium and Mmabatho Stadium, with many performances organized by the Quibell Brothers. One of their notable hits, "Jiza Jiza Wame," was dedicated to their manager, Sam Mthembu, by his wife, Nombuso Mabaso. Sam's experience from numerous shows led him to become a showbiz promoter, bringing the trio to various venues across Southern Africa. In early 1984, a tragic road accident near Vaalbank claimed the life of Nombuso Mabaso, the lead vocalist and Sam's wife.
