House Guests was a 1970s American soul and funk group hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio. The group consisted of a bassist, his older brother on guitar, a drummer, a trumpeter, and a saxophonist. House Guests were formed in 1971 after the Collins brothers left another band. During that same year, several members of the group departed, and Funkadelic invited the remaining members of House Guests to join them. Their unique contributions to Funkadelic's sound can be heard on the band's 1972 release, "America Eats Its Young." In 1972, several members of House Guests became part of another unnamed group, and in 1976, some members joined yet another unnamed group.
