Howard Shore is a Canadian film composer and music conductor, born on October 18, 1946. He is best known for his scores for "The Lord Of The Rings" trilogies, "The Silence Of The Lambs," and for collaborating on nearly every film directed by fellow Canadian David Cronenberg.
