Hugo Blanco was a Venezuelan musician, arranger, producer, and composer of international renown, born on September 25, 1940, in Caracas, Venezuela. He often performed under the name "Hugo Blanco Y Su Arpa Viajera." Blanco was known for creating the "orquídea" style, which involved playing the harp on danceable music. He passed away on June 14, 2015, in Caracas, Venezuela.
