Human Beast was a psychedelic rock band from Edinburgh, Scotland, formed in the late 1960s. The group consisted of Gillies Buchan (guitar/vocals), Edward Jones (bass/vocals), David McNiven (clarinet), and John Ramsey (drums). Initially known as Skin, they did not record under that name. In 1970, Human Beast signed with Decca Records and released their debut album, Volume One (Instinct). Although it did not achieve commercial success at the time, the album has since gained interest among collectors.
