The initial lineup included Pegas (drums, ex-Krabathor, ex-Dehydrated) and guitarist R.A.D. (Stagnant). The band was supported from the beginning by Krabathor's manager Pedro and the German record label Morbid Records. Their first self-titled MCD was released via Morbid Records in spring 2000. In May 2000, Hypnos recorded their debut album, "In Blood We Trust," featuring new guitarist Hire and guest vocals from Mika Luttinen of Impaled Nazarene. Following local shows and small tours in the Czech Republic and Germany, the band performed at the winter X-Mass Festivals alongside acts such as Behemoth, The Crown, Enslaved, Dying Fetus, and Morbid Angel during a two-week European tour. After a lineup change that brought in guitarist David M., Hypnos recorded their second album, "The Revenge Ride," in June 2001 at the German Spiderhouse Studio with renowned producer Harris Johns. Their third album, "Rabble Manifesto," was also recorded in the same studio with the same producer, featuring new guitarist Butch Mills.
