ICEHOUSE is an Australian band that originated in 1977, initially resembling the sound of Roxy Music. They began their career by performing covers of Roxy Music, T-Rex, David Bowie, and similar artists. Their debut album was released under the name Flowers. In 1981, after signing with Chrysalis Records, the band changed their name to Icehouse, which was derived from their first album, to avoid potential legal issues with another band that also went by the name Flowers.
