Icons Of Filth was formed in 1979 in Cardiff, Wales, originally under the names Mock Death and Nuclear Filth. The band was active until 1985, during which they toured extensively and recorded several works. After a hiatus, they reformed in 2001 and released a new album titled Nostradamnedus, along with a return to touring. Tragically, vocalist Stig suffered a heart attack and passed away shortly after a gig in London on October 23, 2004, leading to another disbandment. The band reformed again and released new material in 2021, continuing to perform live.
