Ida Marie Randall Sands, known as “Little” Ida, was born on November 25, 1940, in Portsmouth, VA. She was a talented recording artist, performer, and songwriter, earning the title of Tidewater’s “Queen of Song” in 1968. Ida Sands passed away on January 14, 2013, at the age of 72.
