Igor Stravinsky was a Russian composer, pianist, and conductor born on June 17, 1882, in Oranienbaum, Saint Petersburg Governorate, Russian Empire. He became a significant figure in musical modernism and is regarded as one of the greatest representatives of 20th-century world musical culture. Stravinsky's creative journey was notably dynamic, as he skillfully combined historical and personal models, including Russian folklore, Western classical traditions, dodecaphony, polyrhythms, and asymmetrical rhythms, adapting them to his unique artistic vision. His works are characterized by an extremely dynamic and varied rhythmic dimension, which serves as a structural element of his compositions alongside interval elaboration. Stravinsky employed melodic cells that he reassembled and broken down with great variety and freedom, creating episodes of rhythmic-metric asymmetry and polyrhythm through overlapping and reiteration of rhythmic-interval cells. His compositions also feature discordant sections, the use of the octotonic scale, and modal scales. Stravinsky wrote music for a wide range of instrumental and vocal combinations, from large orchestras to small ensembles and solo instruments. In the 1950s, he aimed to leave a precise sound record of his creative intentions by recording his works under his own direction. He became a citizen of France in 1934 and the United States in 1945. Stravinsky passed away on April 6, 1971, in New York City,
