Igor Wakhévitch is a French avant-garde composer, producer, keyboardist, and painter, born on May 12, 1948, in Gassin-Saint Tropez, France. He learned music from a young age, studying under a French classical pianist at the age of 6. Wakhévitch collaborated with notable artists, including Carolyn Carlson and Terry Riley, and in 1974, he worked with another composer on an opera poem. He is recognized as one of the first French composers to utilize synthesizers such as the Moog, ARP2066, and Synthi AKS. Additionally, he has spent nearly 30 years in India.
