Ill Biskits was a hip-hop duo formed in Petersburg, Virginia, in the early 1990s. They released their first single, "God Bless Your Life," on the indie NYC label Khari Entertainment in 1994, which included the sought-after B-side track "22 Years," produced by hip-hop legend Lord Finesse. The single gained minor buzz and received strong airplay at college radio and hip-hop stations in Chicago, New York, and San Francisco, as well as with mixtape DJs across the U.S. In 1995, Ill Biskits caught the attention of major label Atlantic Records and signed an album deal, leading to the release of two more singles: a re-release of "God Bless Your Life" (without the cuts from the Khari Entertainment 12") and "Chill Factor B/W Hypnotic Blessings." Although a full-length album was completed, it was never commercially released; however, promo copies were pressed in limited numbers on CD and cassette. Despite their short career from 1994 to 1996, the material released by Ill Biskits suggests they had the potential to achieve significant success in the hip-hop universe. Tragically, Darrel Durant, also known as Kleph Dollaz, passed away from a heart attack on August 28, 2012. Rest in peace.
