Images in Vogue was a Canadian New Wave group formed in 1981 in Vancouver. The original lineup included vocalist Dale Martindale, guitarist Don Gordon, synth players Joe Vizvary and Glen Nelson, bassist Gary Smith, and percussionist Kevin Crompton. The band's manager later became a MuchMusic VJ. They released four EPs before their full-length debut, "In the House," in 1985. Their first notable hit was "Lust for Love," from their self-titled EP in 1983. After Gordon left the band in 1984, Ed Shaw joined as his replacement. While recording their 1988 album, the band considered changing their name to The Spell but ultimately retained their original name, even though the album was titled "The Spell." However, the album did not achieve commercial success. By June 1988, the band faced challenges with their record label and internal conflicts, leading to Gary Smith's departure. Images in Vogue's last concert featuring original content took place at Toronto's Opera House in November 1991, after which the band unofficially split as members pursued different projects. They have since released
