In Trance 95 is an electronic body music duo formed in May 1988 in Athens, Greece. They initially shaped their sound using small analogue synthesizers and drum machines, becoming pioneers of the minimal synth and cold wave genres, as well as electronic body music in Greece during the 80s. The duo performed live at An Club in Athens on March 1, 1989, and continued to play gigs until 1991. In 1992, they left to pursue other projects but continued for another four years with a new member, George Geranios, and occasional assistance from their soundman, K. The official reformation of In Trance 95 with the original lineup took place in April 2010 when they were invited by an ex-Depeche Mode member to open a gig in Athens. Since then, they have been working together and, with the support of a US label, released the compilation "Cities of Steel And Neon" in October 2011, which features remastered selections from their early tapes. In February 2012, they contributed the track "Presidente" to Volume 2 of the "Minimal Wave Tapes" series, originally recorded as their second single in 1989. The reformed duo continued recording new material while also rehearsing old and new songs for live shows in the first half of 2012.
