**Bio: Incredible Hog** Incredible Hog was a three-piece band formed in early 1972 in London, emerging from the 60s British Blues Boom. The group consisted of guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Ken Gordon and bassist Jim Holmes, who had previously played together in the band Speed Auction. The band's name is a playful nod to the popular 'Incredible Hulk' comic book series. Struggling to secure gigs, the band established their own venue, The Pig Sty, first in Ilford and later in Forest Gate, East London. Their persistence paid off when Ken Gordon personally delivered their demo tape to Dart Records, leading to a record deal after an intense day of waiting. Their album was recorded at Mayfair Sound Studios in London during 1971 and 1972. The band was disappointed with the sound, feeling it didn’t capture their live energy. Ken Gordon faced challenges with his equipment, unable to achieve the desired guitar sustain due to restrictions on volume. The recording process took about ten days over several weeks, utilizing downtime from a cabaret singer. Although they initially wanted a heavy rock sound rather than pop, they later recognized that the unique sound effects added an unusual character to their music.
