**Bio: The Invisible Opera Company of Tibet** The Invisible Opera Company of Tibet is a conceptual project initiated by Daevid Allen in the mid-1970s, representing an international network for artists who share a vision of warm-hearted, inclusive art forms aimed at conscious evolution. The name was first used as an alias for Allen's composing credits. In 1986, the project took shape as a musical outfit in Australia under Allen's leadership. The band recorded their self-titled album in 1987 and toured afterward. In early 1988, Allen returned to the UK, encouraging Russell Hibbs to lead the Australian band, which continued to tour and performed at the Woodford music festival in 1992. In the UK, Allen used the Invisible Opera Company of Tibet name for a short European tour from March to May 1988. In 1989, Harry Williamson joined to record an album with a lineup that included various musicians, leading to the name change to Gongmaison. Two recordings from this period were released under different credits, with one credited to Daevid Allen and the other to a different artist. By May 1989, the Daevid Allen version of the IOCT changed its name again. The project was characterized by a fluid lineup, as Allen encouraged different interpretations of the IOCT spirit across the globe.
