Ipek Gorgun, born in 1984 in Ankara, Turkey, is a Turkish electronic music composer and sound artist known for her work that blends sculptural noise with luminous melodicism. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from Bilkent University and an M.A. in Philosophy from Galatasaray University. Gorgun completed her PhD in Sonic Arts at Istanbul Technical University’s Center for Advanced Studies in Music (MIAM) in 2020, focusing her thesis on temporality and temporal experience in electronic music composition. Additionally, she has played bass and sung for bands such as Bedroomdrunk and Vector Hugo.
