Irene Bianco is an Italian-born musician based in Copenhagen, known for her solo performances that incorporate vintage drums, electronics, toy percussion, and field recordings. Her music blends polyrhythms and fragmented melodies, often described as sound poetry that invites listeners to explore the spontaneous and unconventional. Starting her musical journey with the drum kit at a young age, Irene trained as a classical percussionist. Her influences range from baroque and orchestral music to 90s rock and club music. She is an active freelance percussionist in the avant-garde and experimental Danish music scene, participating in projects such as Damkapellet, LoUd, and TYI.
