Irini Toufexis was born in Cyprus in 1971 and moved to London with her family at the age of three. At 15, she received a scholarship to study music at the Pimlico Institute, where she met Everton McCalla, the drummer and songwriter for Light Of The World. The following year, she was discovered as a model and signed a recording contract with music manager Martin Levitt. However, feeling restricted by her management deal, Irini began to develop as a singer/songwriter, releasing her first hit single "24/7 Love," a collaboration with her sister Marina, followed by "Love On My Mind," both produced by Eric Pascal. In 1996, she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and moved back to Cyprus for rest and to be near her family. In the years that followed, Irini returned to writing songs. She sadly passed away on 20th November 2020.
