Isabel's Dream is the creative project of Toronto-based musician Michael Ulrich, originally conceived as a platform for his ambient guitar and loop work. The project began in 1997 with a series of experiments using a cassette four-track and a home computer. Over time, it evolved as programmed beats emerged alongside the steady wash of guitar. In the summer of 1999, Ulrich collaborated with his friend Rachel Keeler, who contributed her voice to the sound. This collaboration led to the recording and release of his debut E.P., 'Monomara,' on Aporia Records.
