iu takahashi is a sound artist based in Tokyo, born and raised in Kanagawa, Japan. She primarily produces her own musical worldview using synthesizers, ambient sounds, and voices. After starting her artistic journey as a vocalist, she shifted her focus to creating ambient music in 2018, providing tracks for background music in exhibitions and introduction videos. Influenced by Japanese ambient music pioneers like Hiroshi Yoshimura and Satoshi Ashikawa, iu takahashi crafts beautiful works rooted in this tradition. With a concept centered around soundscape, she aims to deliver music that is considerate of listeners' thoughts and feelings, as well as conscious of the unconscious mind.
