Ivory Joe Hunter was an American rhythm and blues singer, songwriter, and pianist, born on October 10, 1911, or 1914, in Kirbyville, Texas. He passed away on November 8, 1974, in Memphis, Tennessee. It is important not to confuse him with the Motown songwriter or Motown pianist and musician.
