J. D. Robb, born John Donald Robb in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1892, was a prominent composer of stage, classical, and electronic music. He served as a professor emeritus of music and dean emeritus of the College of Fine Arts at the University of New Mexico. In addition to his work as a composer, he was known for his collection of folk music. Robb passed away in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1989.
