Jabula, meaning "rejoice" in isiZulu, was a musical ensemble formed in 1974, comprised of South African musicians who were exiled in England during the Apartheid Era. Due to the oppressive regime, traditional African music faced significant restrictions, often being banned from radio and private play, which led many artists to seek refuge abroad. The four members of Jabula met in London after leaving South Africa. In addition to their own albums, the group collaborated with renowned artist Mike Oldfield on his albums Amarok, Incantations, and Ommadawn.
