Jacinto Silva was a Brazilian singer and composer born in 1933 in Palmeira dos Índios, Alagoas. He was recognized for his unique rhythmic vocal delivery and syncopated song structures that drew from traditional Brazilian rhythms, particularly "coco de roda." Over the course of his career, Jacinto recorded 24 LPs and 2 CDs. He passed away in 2001 in Caruaru, Pernambuco.
