Jack Bedient & the Chessmen were a musical group originally from Wenatchee, Washington, and later based in Reno, Nevada. Their live performances catered to the pop sound of the 1960s, featuring covers of contemporary hits, lounge songs, and comedic elements. The band released twelve 45s and five LPs, most of which reflected their lounge act. In 1967, the lineup included Jack Bedient on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Kevin Woods on lead guitar and vocals, Walter Hanna on keyboards, Bill Britt on bass and vocals, and Jewell Hendricks on drums.
