Jack Cardwell was a country singer-songwriter born on November 9, 1925, in Chapman, Alabama. He passed away on October 22, 1993. Cardwell gained notable recognition with his first release, "The Death Of Hank Williams," which reportedly sold over half a million copies in 1953. From 1951 to 1967, he hosted "The Friendly Variety Show," a program that aired locally in Mobile, Alabama. Additionally, he was the founder of the Mobile Country Music Association.
