Jack White is an American musician, songwriter, record producer, and label owner, born on July 9, 1975, in Detroit, Michigan, USA. He has earned two Grammy Awards for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Rock Song, as well as a Grammy as a producer in 2004 for a project that won Best Country Album. In 2001, White founded the label Third Man Records in Detroit, and later opened a Nashville location in 2009, followed by a Detroit location in 2015. He also previously trained as an apprentice upholsterer and opened his own store, Third Man Upholstery, which featured the slogan “your furniture’s not dead.” White was married to Meg White from 1996 to 2000 and to Karen Elson from 2005 to 2013, with whom he has two children. He married again on April 8, 2022, in Detroit, and currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
