Jackey Beavers was a US soul singer, producer, and songwriter, born on June 19, 1937, in Cartersville, Georgia. He co-wrote the song "Someday We'll Be Together," which, when recorded by another artist, reached #1 on the Billboard pop charts in 1969. Throughout his career, he recorded for various Detroit and Chicago labels before returning to Cartersville. In the 1980s, he recorded several Gospel albums for the Glory label. Jackey Beavers passed away on October 28, 2008.
