Jackey Yoshikawa is associated with the Japanese "Group Sounds" band Blue Comets, which was founded in 1957. The band gained international attention in 1966 with the release of their song "Blue Eyes." Their biggest hit, "Blue Chateau," came out in 1967 and is believed to have sold nearly a million copies. The Blue Comets performed this song during their appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in 1968. The band's most successful line-up disbanded in 1972, and the following year saw some changes in personnel.
