Jackie Oates is a singer and fiddle player hailing from Staffordshire. She was a founding member of the Northumbrian group Rachel Unthank and the Winterset, which received a Mercury nomination, until she departed to pursue a solo career in early 2007. Her third album, "Hyperboreans," was produced by her brother.
