The Jacks were a Japanese garage band active from 1966 to 1969. The group originated in the summer of 1965 when Yoshio Hayakawa, Suehiro Takahashi, and Eiri Matsubara formed a band called Nightingale. They later appeared on a Fuji TV show in the summer of 1966 under the name Windmills. After Matsubara left, the band changed their name to the Jacks. Hitoshi Tanino joined the group in January 1967, followed by Haruo Mizuhashi and Takasuke Kida in May 1967. The Jacks released their first single in March 1968. Mizuhashi departed in September 1968 and was replaced by Hiro Tsunoda. The band ultimately disbanded in August 1969.
