Jackson C. Frank (March 2, 1943 – March 3, 1999) was an American folk musician known for his influential yet underappreciated work. He released only one official album during his lifetime, the self-titled "Jackson C. Frank," in 1965, which was produced by Paul Simon while they were performing in folk clubs in England. Although Frank initially received positive recognition in England, his mental health began to deteriorate in 1966, leading to a decline in his career. Despite his lack of commercial success, he is reported to have influenced notable singer-songwriters such as Paul Simon and Nick Drake. Frank passed away from pneumonia and cardiac arrest in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, at the age of 56.
