**Bio of the Jackson Sisters** The Jackson Sisters, originally from Compton, California, are a musical group based in Detroit. They gained modest success in the 1970s but found their footing nearly a decade later with the rise of the 'rare groove' scene in the U.K. The group consists of Jacqueline Jackson-Rencher, Lyn Jackson, Pat Jackson, Rae Jackson, and Gennie Jackson. Their journey began after winning a talent show, which led them to serve as a support act for Smokey Robinson & The Miracles at “The Last Miracle,” a farewell concert for Robinson as he transitioned to a solo career. The concert featured notable acts such as Al Green, The Whispers, and The Three Degrees. In 1973, the Jackson Sisters signed with Prophesy Records in Beverly Hills, where they recorded 'I Believe in Miracles,' written by Mark Capanni and Bobby Taylor, with musical tracks by Gene Page and production by Pete Moore and Bobby Taylor. The group made appearances on various television shows, including Soul Train in 1973 and 1975, and participated in award ceremonies and telethons. They performed live at events like The Aftra Convention and the Soul Train Tour, sharing the stage with celebrated artists such as Bill Cosby, Nancy Wilson, and Earth Wind & Fire. In recognition of their talent, the sisters were nominated for Best New Vocal Group at the Black Image Awards in 1973 and Best New Female Artist by Record World Magazine
