Jacques Higelin was a French singer, songwriter, and actor, born on 18 October 1940 in Brou-sur-Chantereine and passed away on 6 April 2018 in Paris. He gained prominence as a singer in the early 1970s and remained active in music and performance until 2016. A regular collaborator with various artists, Higelin was also known for his political activism. He was the father of a singer-songwriter, an actor-director, and a singer-actress.
