Jade Hexagram was a psychedelic rock band from Cwmbran, Wales, active in the latter half of the 1960s. They took their name from Bob Dylan's sleevenotes to "Highway 61 Revisited." The band formed in 1966/67 and recorded several demos at Monmouth studio Future Sounds, which later became Rockfield. They relocated to London and became regulars on the underground circuit, performing at venues such as Middle Earth and the Marquee alongside notable acts like Soft Machine, Tyrannosaurus Rex, The Incredible String Band, and The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown. In early 1968, they recorded a handful of original songs at Marquee Studios, but due to a lack of record company interest, the group disbanded by late 1968. Their recordings have since appeared on various compilations and box sets released by Cherry Red Records. The members of Jade Hexagram included Greg Morris (vocals, rhythm guitar), Dale Callow (lead guitar), Dave Halliday (bass), and Steve Leman (drums).
