Jaibi was married in 1965 after her divorce from Anthony Bates Sr. Following her first marriage, she changed her name. Unfortunately, her second marriage also ended in divorce. Shortly after, she was diagnosed with leukaemia, which she ultimately succumbed to in the early 80s at a tragically young age.
