Jake Holmes is an American folk-rock singer-songwriter born on December 28, 1939, in San Francisco, California. He is best known as the author and original performer of the popular song "Dazed and Confused." Later in his career, Holmes worked as a jingle writer, creating advertisements for brands such as Dr. Pepper and British Airways before establishing his own agency.
