Jakob Lindberg is a Swedish lutenist born on 16 October 1952 in Djursholm. He is primarily active in England and performs as a soloist, in small and large ensembles, and as a conductor for groups featuring instruments from the lute and guitar family. Lindberg is renowned for being the first to record John Dowland's collected works for solo lute, as well as for many first recordings of works from the Renaissance period.
