James Clarke is a Business Analyst at Universal Music, with previous experience as a Developer and Software Developer at Sony BMG, BMG Music Publishing, and QBE Insurance. He has also served as the Recording Studio Manager and Producer at Tŷ Cerdd in Cardiff, UK. James earned his MSc in Physics with Honours from The University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand, between 1989 and 1994. He is known for developing source separation techniques that isolate instrumentation within multi-track recordings for targeted EQ and restoration, which have been utilized in audio restoration projects and on DVD and Blu-ray releases.
