Jan Allan is a Swedish jazz trumpeter, pianist, and composer, born on November 7, 1934, in Falun, Sweden. He initially started his musical journey as a pianist before switching to the trumpet and performing with Carl-Henrik Norin at Nalen. Jan became involved with notable figures in the jazz scene, including Lars Gullin, Arne Domnérus, Bengt-Arne Wallin, and Jan Johansson. He was awarded the Golden Record for his debut solo album, "Jan Allan - 70." Throughout his career, he formed a chamber jazz trio with Bengt Hallberg and Georg Riedel, as well as a trio with Rune Gustafson and Georg Riedel.
