Jane is a progressive rock band formed in Hannover, Germany, in 1970. It was established as the successor to The Justice Of Piece, which was founded in 1966 by members Panka, Hess, and Nadolny of The JP. The band has splinter groups, including one led by an unnamed individual, as well as Lady Jane. Only pre-1994 recordings by Jane are included in this profile, as a court decision in 1994 restricts the three founding members from using the name 'Jane' without a prefix.
