Jay Som is the musical project of Melina Duterte, a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from San Francisco. The name "Jay Som," which means "Victory Moon," was randomly generated online. This fall, she is reissuing her collection titled "Turn Into," which features a mix of finished and unfinished songs written, recorded, and mixed between March 2014 and October 2015. Initially uploaded to Bandcamp after a festive Thanksgiving dinner, "Turn Into" offers a glimpse into what fans can expect from her debut album set to release in 2017. Jay Som is currently signed to Polyvinyl Records.
